Parish Priest - Rev. Keith Frisby. VF

Our parish priest, father Keith Frisby, was born on July 25th, 1940 at Kendal in Westmorland. As a young man he worked in the shoe trade for 21 years. He was received into the Catholic Church as a convert in 1973 by Fr. James Cahill at the Mother of God Church, Leicester. After presenting himself as a candidate for the priesthood he was sent to the Jesuit College.’Campion House’, Osterley for one year. His next five years were spent at a major seminary, St. Mary’s College, Sutton Coldfield. On the 9th of April 1983 he was ordained priest at St. Barnabas’ Cathedral, Nottingham by Bishop James McGuinness.

Fr. Keith’s first appointment was as Assistant Priest at Our Lady of Victories, Market Harborough where he remained for six years. The next fourteen months were spent at the Good Shepherd Church, Nottingham.

His appointment to Our Lady of Victories, Southwell with St. Anthony’s, Calverton was made in November 1990. Prior to that, in 1989, he had been appointed by Bishop McGuinness to work for the Diocesan Marriage Tribunal, a task that he still fulfills.
